News for June 2008

• The June 2008 board meeting was held.  Click here to view the minutes from this meeting
• Home game dates have been confirmed with the Northern School District:
  • Week 2 -- Saturday August 30th vs Cumberland Valley
  • Week 4 -- Saturday September 13th vs South Hanover
  • Week 6 -- Saturday September 27th vs  St Josephs
  • Week 7 -- Saturday October 4th vs Good Shepherd
• Roster night is August 18th
• The JV schedule will be developed after week 1 is completed.  Northern will definitely have a Pee Wee JV team and most likely a Smurf JV team.
• Equipment Budgets for 2008 have been approved by the board ($1,600 for cheerleading and $2,550 for football)

News for May 2008

• Planning for the upcoming is underway with many activities surrounding fund raising and sponsorships already started.  If you can voluteer some time to help, please contact any of the board members

• Football & Cheerleading registration dates are over.  If you missed one of the registration dates, please send an email to nyranews@gmail.com to get your son or daughter registered
• Dennis Mulholland (NYRA President) & Steve Lynes (NYRA Vice President of Football) met with the Northern School District (Gerry Schwille & Rob Taylor) to discuss the upcoming season.  Many interesting topics were discussed.  See the May board minutes for more information
• A scrimmage game with East Pennsboro has been booked---Saturday August 16th @ East Pennsboro starting at 5:00pm.  More info is forthcoming
• REMINDER--raffle tickets are due to Bryan Burris by Saturday May 31st!!!
